Clare Gates install only the very best when it comes to Electric Gates and Gate Automation systems.Clare Gates mainly install FAAC and DEA Gate Automation systems. There is a lot to consider when choosing what type of electric gates system is best suited to your entrance. You must consider the following when choosing your electric gates:
Do I have existing gates and should I go for an overground system?
Should I go for an AC or DC system?
Should I have battery back-up installed so that power-loss will not affect my electric gates?
Should I go for a less obtrusive underground system?
Would my entrance facilitate a sliding gate system?
How quick do I want the gates to open?
Is the electric gates system safe in the presence of children?
What torque should the electric gates motors be set to?
What level of access control should be installed with my electric gates?
If you are unsure about any of the above questions Clare Gates would be more than happy to do a site visit and give you free and friendly advise.
Underground electric gate systems is the general term given to a set of underground motors which are used to operate swing gates. Underground motors come in electromechanical and electro-hydraulic. Electro-hydraulic underground motors are generally used in applications where the gates are generally to heavy for the standard electro-mechanical motors. Underground electric gates systems are available in AC and DC formats. DC systems have the capability of battery back up and are generally mush quicker to open than their AC counterparts.
Overground electric gates systems are available in articulated arm and also in hydraulic ram format. Generally both types are bolted on to the back face of the peers and an arm is then extended and bolted to a bracket in the gate.
